Welcome to Goddess Festival 2011

Welcome to the annual Fellowship of Isis Eleusinian  Goddess Festival in Chicago.  Everyone from everywhere is welcome to attend! This year's main ritual and theme will be The Winged Pegasus , dedicated to the goddess Cleito. This ritual is about creativity and creation with the aid of sacred animal spirit guides and helpers.  The Winged Pegasus offers further preparation for entering the coming age. It will teach us the need to humbly accept with gratitude  the guidance and assistance of  beings of other orders, without whom we might not be able to ascend, advance, or travel to The Coming World.

About the Festival

The annual Eleusinian Goddess Festival, which co-incides with Autumnaal Equinox and the season of the ancient Eleusinian Mysteries,  is our gift to Chicago...and to FOI friends and members everywhere.  This year's Goddess Festival takes place on Saturday, October 1, 2011.  It is preceded by a reception in honor of Lady Olivia Robertson on Friday, and followed by related activities on Sunday.  The Festival

	The weekend begins with our enjoyable Chocolate and Champagne Reception in honor of Lady Olivia Robertson.  This year's reception will take place Friday evening, September 30, 2011. more about the reception...

Venue
	The venue for the 2011 Annual Equinox Goddess Festival is Life Force Arts Center  at 3148 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, Illinois.

Do A Presentation!
	We encourage our FOI members and friends to actively participate in The Goddess Festival by doing a presentation related to the theme.  It is a pleasure getting to know more about our wise and talented membership in this way, and it makes the day very special and exciting for all in attendance. Local Attractions
	It has not yet been determined whether there will be an official field trip this year.  However, it is possible to enjoy a visit on your own to such attractions as  The Oriental Institute Museum of the University of Chicago, The Field Museum and its Egyptian exhibit "Inside Ancient Egypt;" The Art Institute and its ancient culture collection ,  Millennium Park , and The Baha'i Temple .
